Who Are the Paganyaw (Pgakenyo) People?

The Paganyaw (Karen, Pgakenyo) indigenous community has lived in Thailand’s highlands for generations, deeply rooted in nature, sustainability, and traditional knowledge. They practice shifting cultivation, organic farming, and forest conservation, seeing themselves as guardians of the land rather than its owners.

By visiting them, we not only experience their beautiful culture but also support their efforts in preserving their culture and sustainable way of life.
